Daniel is upset with Melanie. He tells her that he and Maggie asked her if everything was alright. Melanie tries to apologize, but Maggie arrives with Parker and the direction is geared toward Melanie reuniting with Parker. Later, Melanie admits to Maggie that she lied. She asks if Daniel hates her. Daniel sarcastically remarks "like that could happen". Melanie leaves to see Maxine and get her job back at the hospital. Daniel and Maggie both truly believe Melanie is back in Salem to be with her family.
