Daniel stops by to see Jennifer. He tells her Melanie has returned home. Jennifer is happy for Daniel. Daniel comments that whenever he has good news, he still just wants to tell Jennifer about it. Daniel tells Jennifer that he hopes she doesn't quit her job at the hospital because of him. They discuss their past. Jennifer decides to stay at the hospital. She also tells Daniel that with a little time they may be able to call each other friends and really mean it. Daniel also tells Jennifer about his relationship with Nicole. Jennifer advises him to be careful. They both agree that Eric needs their friendship right now too, as he seems a little lost.
Back at the apartment, Daniel confronts Melanie about her fight with Theresa. He tells her to stay as far away from Theresa as possible.
