At Daniel's apartment, Daniel receives a mysterious phone call from a woman looking for Melanie Jonas. She does not leave a message or leave her name and her caller Id number was blocked. Daniel has a strange feeling that it somehow means trouble for Melanie.
Nicole stops by looking for her lost recorder that she may have left in Daniel's bathroom when she was taking a shower. Maggie overhears the comment and questions Nicole about why she is taking a shower in Daniel's apartment. Nicole is not in a mood to be judged. Maggie takes her leave. Nicole apologizes for making the comment. She did not know Maggie was there. Daniel says to forget about it. Daniel has something he want to discuss with Nicole anyway. He tells her he talked to Eric about her. Daniel let Eric know that Nicole is back in his life. He also tells Nicole tat Eric was fine with his decision. He did not want to jeopardize Eric's friendship by not telling him. Nicole asks what their relationship is. Daniel tells Nicole that he is attracted to her, but for right now he thought they both understood they would just be friends. Melanie arrives, makes a rude comment to Nicole. Nicole decides to leave. After Nicole leaves, Daniel reprimands Melanie for her poor attitude with Nicole.
Daniel brings up the mysterious phone call he received. Melanie tries to make an excuse, but Daniel confronts her and wants to know what is going on with her.
