Daniel dictates to Kristen what her future holds. She is going to Salem to pay for her crimes. Kristen tries to make a deal with Daniel, but Daniel won't give Kristen any satisfaction. He does not believe anything she says. Kristen spots a box cutter on the floor. She continues to argue with Daniel, trying to get him riled. She brings up Jennifer again. He calls Kristen KrazyKakes. She starts to cry. Daniel reiterates that she will go back to Salem and face her fate. Kristen attacks Daniel with the blade. Daniel gets the knife away from her. When he stands up the vehicle stops suddenly and Daniel is thrown to the floor, hitting his head. Kristen sees her opportunity to stop Daniel from taking her back to Salem. She gives him a swift kick and there is no reaction. She thinks she has got the upper hand, but Daniel awakens and wraps his hand around her ankle and pulls her to the floor.
When the truck arrives in Salem, Daniel escorts Kristen to the Salem police department where Brady, Eric, Marlena, Nicole, Hope & Jennifer are on hand to see her arrive.
