Daniel is at the Kiriakis mansion. Brady answers the door and is less than polite to Daniel. When Daniel questions Brady as to why he has been added to the Eric & John negative list, Brady responds. He is not happy with Daniel's condescending attitude towards him or the way he treats Theresa. Daniel tells Brady that Theresa is a sociopath whose only concern is herself. Daniel recognizes that Brady is hungover. Brady tells Daniel he can handle his own affairs and tells Daniel to find his way out.
Later, Daniel stops by JJ's house to give a vintage guitar as a graduation present. Jennifer hears him at the door and asks him to bring it in. She would like him to stay. Daniel tells Jennifer it is not a good idea. He doesn't think he can get past her not believing in him. He leaves , telling her that he needs space.
When Daniel passes through the town square on his way to the hospital, he is stopped by Eve. He tells her once he gets her test results, they should be able to schedule surgery. He asks her if she has settled in to Salem. She tells him that there have been a few bumps, but thinks are now falling into place.
