Daniel is visiting JJ at the Horton home. JJ thanks Daniel for the guitar he gave him for a graduation gift. Daniel tells him he is welcome and that he deserved it after all his hard work. JJ changes the conversation to his mom. Daniel tells him it is between JJ's mom and him to resolve. But he still cares for JJ's mom, Abigail and JJ. JJ comments on Paige's mom. He hopes that he does not have to choose between Paige and his mom. Daniel says no. His mom will always love JJ. JJ needs to embrace the time he has with Paige.
At the hospital, Daniel runs into Maggie. Her and Victor are visiting John. Daniel takes Maggie home so that Victor can speak with Brady. When Daniel gets to the Kiriakis mansion, he informs Maggie that he is taking a trip for a medical convention. They say their goodbyes when Jennifer happens to walk in. Daniel looks at Jennifer, Jennifer looks at Daniel and they calmly go their separate ways.
