At the hospital, Daniel updates Eric that there is no change in John's condition. He asks how Eric is doing, but Eric goes silent when Nicole arrives on the scene. Eric leaves and Nicole tries to talk to Daniel. Daniel doesn't want to talk with her and rudely tells her so. He tells her that she hurt Eric more than Kristen ever could. He then walks away.
Daniel goes to the Kiriakis mansion. He sees how down Brady is. He offers to cancel his medical conference to stay with him, but Brady declines. Brady needs to face some things on his own. When Daniel leaves the Kiriakis mansion, he encounters Eve arriving. She tries to start a conversation with Daniel, but he doesn't give her the time of day, says goodbye and walks away.
When Daniel arrives at his hotel room, he begins to settle in, when someone hits across the head. He slumps down to the floor. A man hovers over him and rolls his limp body over. The man then opens the door and Kristen DiMera walks in. She smugly looks down at Daniel's unconscious body lying on the floor.
