At the hospital, Daniel checks on John and finds Brady holding vigil at his bedside. Brady asks Daniel for good news. Daniel is running tests to assess John's coma. He will come back when he has the results. He pats Brady on the shoulder, then leaves.
Nicole calls Daniel at the hospital. She wants to have coffee with him. Daniel adamantly declines, claiming Nicole only thinks of herself. She can have coffee by herself. Daniel hangs up on Nicole.
Daniel gives Brady, Hope and Abe news on John. John has slipped deeper into a coma. Daniel can do nothing more for him medically. He may never come out of the coma. Daniel is turning the case over to the staff. He heads to the Brady pub for something to eat. Maxine suggests he then should go home to get some rest. Daniel says he will return to do rounds. Eve overhears and takes off after Daniel to the pub.
Daniel arrives at the pub and Eve acts surprised running into him there. Daniel just smiles. Eve invites herself to Daniel's table. The conversation turns to Parker. Eve snuggles closer to see Daniel's pictures of the boy. He is unaware that Jennifer spots the laughing couple from outside the Brady pub
