At the hospital, Daniel updates Brady on John's condition. Daniel was able to stabilize John, but he will be in a coma. Marlena wants to speak with Daniel. He gives her a brief update, but then gets called back to the ICU. When Daniel returns, he pulls Brady aside and asks him if he is sure he was the one who hurt John. Brady admits he is not sure of anything. Daniel gets called away again.
Later, Theresa approaches Daniel for an update on John. Daniel tells her that he can only speak with relatives. Theresa tells him she is a relative. Daniel asks her "Theresa! What have you done?" Daniel is annoyed that she would marry Brady while he was in a drunken state. Theresa is now worried that when John wakes up, he will remember what really happened.
