At the square, Daniel is talking with Parker on the phone. Eve wanders by and overhears Daniel's conversation. Daniel assures Parker they will continue their summer plans when he gets home. She sizes up the situation and takes the opportunity to join him. She flaunts her new shoes, also showing off her sexy legs. Eve takes advantage of the moment and also invites herself to have a drink with Daniel. Daniel is on call so he will have a coffee. Eve orders wine. Eve makes a comment about Theresa. Daniel thinks Eve is nothing like Theresa. Their conversaton gets interrupted when Daniel gets a calls to go to the hospital.
At the hospital, Daniel works on John in surgery. His head injury is severe and Daniel is having trouble stabilizing John. He uses the paddles to jump start his heart, but there is no response. Daniel walks out of surgery to speak with Brady. Brady asks if John is ok. Daniel says no.
