At Daniel's apartment, Daniel confronts Nicole about the shredded documents. Nicole back peddles and denies knowing anything. Daniel calls her out. He pieces the puzzle back in place for her. Nicole still tries to deny her involvement. Daniel continues to push her and finally Nicole admits what she did. She is upset and starts to cry. She fears Daniel will never forgive her. Daniel tells her she is wrong. He will forgive her. She is relieved and hugs Daniel. He tells her he will forgive her once she tells Eric or he will. She panics and grabs the documents and tries to run out the door, but when she opens, Eric and Jennifer are at the door with champagne in hand to celebrate Eric & Nicole's engagement. Nicole stops and stares.
