At Daniel's apartment, Jennifer knocks on his door. When Daniel answers, he questions Jennifer why she is there. He doesn't want another uncomfortable encounter. Jennifer asks to come inside. She needs to explain. Daniel lets her in. Jennifer tells Daniel that JJ told her everything. She knows now that Daniel sacrificed their relationship and risked his career to keep JJ out of prison. She knows that Daniel cares for her son and that makes her very happy. Daniel explains his side and tells her she has to leave now. Jennifer balks. She wants to know why. Daniel tells her that Theresa is obsessed with hurting Jennifer. Regardless of what JJ has on her, Theresa is still capable of hurting her. Jennifer tells Daniel she is through living in fear. She asks him if there is any chance they can repair their relationship. Daniel takes her in his arms and kisses her.
