Daniel returns to Salem. He is at the hospital when he checks in with Nicole. He asks her if she found any evidence on Dr. Chyka after he left the cabin. She doesn't answer because Eric is there. Daniel calls Hope and explains the story of what transpired tracking Dr. Chyka down. They both go to speak with Nicole. Daniel learns that Chyka got away. When he asks Nicole if she found any evidence to clear Eric's name, Nicole lies and says no.
