At Daniel's apartment, Hope gets a phone call regarding Dr. Chyka. She informs Daniel, Nicole and Eric that Dr. Chyka has traveled to Morocco. The bad news is, he cannot be extricated from Morocco. She also reveals that Chyka's hideout has been stripped clean. If there was any evidence, it is now gone. Nicole continues to hide the evidence that she obtained from the cabin.
Nicole leaves the room to get ready for work. Hope berates Daniel for not letting the police handle the case. Daniel wants to take full responsibility for the events. If Nicole is charged, she will go back to prison. Hope steps out to take a phone call. Eric thanks Daniel for having his back from the beginning. Eric accepts that maybe this is God's will. Daniel is disappointed that he could not clear Eric's name as he promised him.
Eric and Nicole leave. Hope tells Daniel to relax. With Chyka out of the country there is no one to press charges anyway. Daniel breathes a sigh of relief. He asks Hope for a favor. JJ's sentencing is today. Daniel would like Hope to give him an update on what happened. Hope agrees to send him the information.
When everyone has left Daniel's apartment, a knock comes at the door. Daniel answers it and Theresa barges in. Daniel tells her it is not a good time, but Theresa demands to talk with Daniel now!
