At the hospital, Theresa thanks Daniel for saving her cousin's life. She still wants to talk with Daniel about the night she overdosed. Daniel promises to find some time for her. Hope arrives with a sketch of Dr. Chyka. Daniel confirms the sketch is good. Brady sees the police sketch and declares he knows that man. He saw him at the airport.
Later, Jennifer approaches Daniel to talk about how he saved Eric and Nicole. Daniel begins talking with Jennifer, when Theresa rudely barges in and interrupts. She wants Daniel to explain something about Eric's condition. Daniel, wanting to talk with Jennifer, tells Theresa he can talk with her in a moment. Jennifer feels uncomfortable and politely excuses herself from the conversation. She says she has to go to the pub. Daniel is frustrated. He answers Theresa's question and quickly sends her on her way to her AA meeting.
As Daniel is passing by the pub he spots Jennifer sitting alone. He goes into the pub to speak with Jennifer. He apologizes for Theresa interrupting them before. He begins to tell her that there is nothing going on with Theresa, but Jennifer's date Liam shows up and the conversation ends before it gets started. Daniel graciously makes an excuse to exit. Outside, he sadly looks through the window at Jennifer meeting with her date.
