Theresa arrives at Daniel's door just as Jennifer is leaving. Jennifer makes a quick departure obviously miffed. Daniel tries to get rid of Theresa, but she spins her AA twelve step story to get to stay. She has to make amends, but does not know what happened the night she overdosed. She wants Daniel to fill in the blanks. Daniel tells her this is not a good time and agrees to have dinner with her tonight. When Theresa leaves, Daniel calls Ted the IT guy for an update on recovering Eric's files. When Daniel learns all the files are permanently gone, he slams the table in frustration. Daniel calls Nicole to tell her the bad news, but when the phone rings, he realizes Nicole has left her phone at home. Daniel takes the phone to Nicole's office. He tries calling Eric, but he is getting no answer. Daniel is worried. He recalls Eric, but still no answer. Eric and Nicole are tied to a post somewhere in Daniel's apartment building. Hope glistens as Eric's phone rings. He tells Nicole "Daniel is looking for him...for us". But Daniel may be too late as Dr Chyka has returned to kill them.
