At the hospital, Daniel's computer has lost all of Eric's files. Daniel locates Ted the IT guy to help him fix it. Unfortunately, Anne tries to make him wait in line for his turn with IT. Ted decides to help Daniel, but he is unable to retrieve the lost files. Daniel checks the hard copies of the files and they are missing too. He calls the DNA lab for a back up copy and finds out the lab's copies are missing also. Daniel needs to go and check his home computer to try and find the missing files. On his way out of the hospital, Anne detains him. She has devised a story that Daniel pushed her. She has talked her employee Joelle into being her witness. Fortunately for Daniel, Jennifer overheard the scheming conversation Anne had with Joelle and knows it was a false accusation against Daniel. Daniel is free to go. He whispers to Jennifer "thank you" before leaving. When he arrives home, he hurries to find Eric's lab results. He is unaware that Dr. Chyka has deleted them and has also taken Nicole and Eric as hostages from his apartment.
