At the hospital, Daniel overhears Jennifer confirming her date with Liam. Daniel asks who he is. Jennifer tells him, his name is Liam. Daniel makes a remark about hope he is not an Irish drinker. Jennifer resents the remark and cautions Daniel not to stereotype. Daniel responds he was just making casual conversation. Jennifer tells him it is none of his business who she dates and walks away.
Abe is with Liam. They are old friends. Abe introduced Liam to Daniel. When Liam leaves to take a call, Abe heralds Liam's fundraising service work, commenting on all the numerous awards he has won. Daniel is taken aback by the whole thing and tells Abe he gets it, Liam is a superhero. Daniel cuts the conversation short and tells Abe he has got to go.
Daniel arrives home. JJ is waiting at his door to see him. When they get inside, JJ tells Daniel he doesn't know where to begin. Daniel thinks he is talking about his mother moving on and dating Liam. JJ is blindsided by the information. He feels bad that his mother thinks of Daniel as some low life. Daniel tells him to forget about it. What is important right now is JJ. He can not do anything to hurt his mother. JJ decides to leave without telling Daniel about Theresa blackmailing him.
