At the hospital, Daniel goes to check on Eric. He is unaware that Nicole has spun a lie to Eric, telling him her and Daniel are back together. Eric worries she will get hurt. When Daniel enters, Eric is very cool with him. Daniel gives Eric a clean bill of health and says he will be able to leave the hospital pretty quick. Eric says "speaking of moving quickly", he asks Daniel about him and Nicole. Nicole enters and Daniel tells Eric to get some rest. He pulls Nicole out of the room and they talk at the nurse's station. Nicole tells Daniel she told Eric that they are a couple. Daniel is not happy she told Eric a lie. He will not go along with it and will tell Eric the truth. But, when Nicole and Daniel enter Eric's room he is sleeping.
