At Daniel's apartment, Eric stops by. He tells Daniel he is ok with Nicole moving on with Daniel. Daniel is surprised by Eric's words. He thought Eric would be upset with him. Daniel begins to tell Eric the truth, when Eric interjects that he needs Nicole's help to get him reinstated and it would be difficult doing that if Nicole still had feelings for him. Nicole arrives home. Daniel leaves for the office. Nicole and Eric will talk.
When Daniel returns home he tells Nicole that he didn't tell Eric that they were not involved. Nicole is delighted that Daniel is going along with the plan. Daniel reminds her, he is only doing this to make sure Eric feels comfortable working with Nicole.
Later, Eric has a dream. He opens Daniel's apartment door and sees Daniel in a romatic dance with Nicole. When Nicole sees him she quietly walks to the door and gently closes it.
