Daniel returns to his apartment after secretly meeting with JJ. He worries about Nicole. She is is still upset that Eric believes she raped him. Daniel argues that Eric is not thinking straight. He asks Nicole's permission for him to go talk with Eric. Nicole agrees. On his way out of the apartment, Marlena shows up to speak with Daniel about the ethics committee. Daniel says it is not a good time and he will reschedule with Marlena.
At the rectory, Daniel is met with a very distant Fr. Eric. He warns Daniel not to be drawn in to Nicole's lies as she is a great liar.
Daniel argues for Nicole. Daniel is convinced there is another explanation. Eric yells at Daniel, telling him he wants to forget everything and just get on with his life. He tells Daniel to go.
Daniel turns to go. But he leaves Eric with one last comment. Eric is making a huge mistake with Nicole and one day he will regret it.
