At Daniel's apartment, Nicole overhears JJ admit to Daniel that he will be taking the blame by covering for him when Theresa overdosed. When JJ sees Nicole he is convinced she will send him to prison. Daniel takes JJ out of the apartment and into the hallway. He tells JJ it will be ok...he will fix things with Nicole. He gives JJ a key to his office and tells him to sneak in and quietly wait for him there. He will talk with him in about an hour. JJ leaves.
Daniel explains things to Nicole. He gets her to promise to keep the situation quite. Nicole agrees. Nicole brings up Love. She accidentally reveals that she is in love with Eric. Daniel had no idea. He listens to her story about Eric believing she drugged him then raped him. Nicole starts to cry and pleads with Daniel to believe her. Daniel believes her. They hug. Daniel has to leave to talk with JJ, but he insists Nicole stay and rest in the guest room. He doesn't think she should be alone right now.
Daniel arrives at his hospital office. He turns on the lights and JJ is quietly waiting there. Even before he has a chance to talk to JJ, Jennifer quickly knocks and enters the office to speak with Daniel. She is confused as to why JJ is there.
