On his way to work, Daniel spots a display in a store window of Jack. He stops and whispers how he wishes Jack were here for JJ and Jennifer right now.
At the hospital, Daniel asks nurse Karen if she has seen his lost bracelet. She says no, but will let him know if it should show up. Theresa overhears the conversation and pulls Daniel's bracelet out of her pocket.
Theresa plays the good employee, asking Daniel to fill out forms. She makes small talk about her downfall with Jennifer. Daniel brushes it aside, saying it really is none of his business. He does see that she is making an effort to change her life. He forgives Theresa for getting off to a rocky start with him. When Daniel gets called away, Karen questions Theresa if there is something going on between them. Theresa doesn't deny it and leads Karen to believe there is something going on.
Later, when shouting is heard from Kayla's office, Daniel intervenes. He sees that JJ is upset and he also sees Kayla is equally upset. JJ storms out. Daniel questions Kayla. Kayla admits that she is worried what JJ will do next. Daniel goes after him. At the town square, JJ sees the display window of his father's picture in it. He throws a chair through the window. It shatters the glass, spreading broken shards all over Jack's picture.
