Daniel is in surgery, working to save Chad's life. Chad flat lines, but Daniel works his magic to get his heart started and back in rhythm. He tells Chad that it wasn't his time to die. Daniel breaks the good news to the family. He allows Abigail, EJ, Kristen and Stefano to go in to visit with Chad.
Abigail hugs Daniel and is grateful for him saving Chad's life. Jennifer is also grateful and thanks Daniel as well. Daniel brushes it off, saying that is his job. He cuts his conversation with Jennifer short, excusing himself to place a call to Melanie to update her on Chad's condition.
