At the hospital, Daniel reviews Jordan's notes on Rafe. He comments her thorough evaluation. Daniel wonders if she is related to one of his medical friends. She promptly replies no and moves on with her work.
Daniel asks Maxine to be his plus one for the gala. Maxine agrees but thinks he should be with Jennifer. Daniel says it isn't working out.
At Daniel's apartment, Abigail stops by to talk with Daniel. She begs with him not to give up on her mom. He tells her this is how it has to be. Abigail has a hard time understanding that Daniel and her mom would give up on love. Daniel tells Abigail to always be honest and open with whomever she sees. Abigail appreciates the insight.
