At the hospital, Daniel catches JJ rifling through Cameron's desk. Daniel takes a prescription pad away from JJ. JJ tries to walk away, but Daniel tracks him down and tells him the criminal implications of stealing a Doctor's prescription pad. JJ argues with Daniel. He is sure that Daniel can't wait to blow the whistle on him. Jennifer witness the scene and approaches Daniel and JJ. Daniel hands the prescription pad to Jennifer and tells JJ to explain it to his mother.
Later, Jennifer downplays JJ's actions to Daniel, stating he was authorized to wait in the residence area. But she does admit he should not have the prescription pad in his possession. Jennifer asks Daniel if he will press charges. He says no, but thinks she should. Jennifer tells Daniel that is not his call and dismisses him, telling hem she can't talk about JJ with him right now. Daniel says "fine", and abruptly turns and walks away. He is unaware that he has accidentally dropped the greeting card he had penned to Jennifer. She picks it up, opens it and reads Daniel's wish for them to get back together.
