At the hospital, Daniel informs Jennifer and Maggie that Brady and Kristen's wedding has been called off. Jennifer leaves for home. Daniel has a chance to ask Maggie what kind of kid JJ was growing up. Maggie provides information that he was sweet, smart and funny. Maggie asks Daniel if there is a problem with JJ getting along with him. Daniel comments that he just wants to be there for both Jen and JJ.
Daniel is running through the park when he stumbles on JJ and his cohort. They exchange small talk. Daniel starts to continue on his run, when JJ makes a smart remark about Daniel running because his car is out of commission. Daniel halts, turns and pointedly states that he is actually picking up his car today and it is as good as new. When Daniel leaves, JJ smugly tells his friend "not for long".
