Maxine corners Daniel. She guilts him in to attending her nurse of the year award party. Kayla works on Jennifer to get her to attend too.
Daniel warmly welcomes Nancy. When Chloe leaves she talks privately with Daniel. She lets him believe that she will encourage Chloe to move on. Daniel makes it clear that he doesn't want to hurt Chloe. When he leaves, Chloe is overjoyed that her Mom is going to help get Daniel back.
Jennifer gives in to Kayla's persuasion and attends Maxine's party. Daniel immediately pulls her outside to talk unaware that Anne is spying on them and reporting back to Chloe. Chloe gets frantic knowing that Daniel is spending time with Jennifer and even more frantic when Anne tells her Daniel and Jennifer are now seriously hugging.
