At the hospital, Kayla is with Daniel as he gets cleared to perform surgery. She is happy for him and will put him on the surgery rotation schedule immediately. She also informs him that Jennifer will be leaving the hospital today. Daniel wants to see her and thank her again. Maggie is also pleased with the results and thrilled that her son can be a surgeon again.
Daniel enters Jenifer's room. Jennifer tries to apologize to him, but Daniel tells her they are not going there again. They are going to celebrate the good news and move forward, especially after what she said to him. But, Jennifer doesn't remember that she told him she loved him. Daniel graciously overlooks the comment. But when he leaves Jen's room, the disappointment shows. When Jennifer gets home, she begins to remember what she said to Daniel. It leaves her sitting stunned and staring.
