Daniel overhears Kate discussing Parker's photo with Maxine. When Kate steps way, Daniel takes a look at the photo. When Kate returns, Daniel hands Kate the picture and walks away. Kate follows into the lounge. She learns that he has not seen Parker since Chloe took him to Chicago. Kate tells Daniel her check up for cancer was good. Despite their rocky past, she is grateful to him and offers to tell him more about Parker. Daniel would like that.
Kate pushes a little too hard asking about Jennifer. Daniel puts up his guard. Kate lets Daniel know her marriage is over. Daniel says he is sorry. It still must hurt. Kate makes an abrupt attempt to leave, but pauses long enough to give Daniel the photo of Parker and wishes him a Merry Christmas. Daniel stares at the photo then places it in his pocket. Jennifer arrives anxious to see him.
