At the Horton cabin, Nicole overhears Daniel and Jennifer declare their love for each other. Nicole tells Daniel how happy she is for him that he will get his career back. Daniel is also happy that that could be a reality. The ferry arrives and Jennifer is taken to Salem University Hospital. Kayla checks out Daniel's work. The wound is clean and the stitches are perfect. Kayla will be glad to have Daniel back in the OR where he belongs.
Maggie is just as amazed to learn the news. Daniel tells her he has gotten his life back because of Jennifer. Maggie touches his hands. They are free of tremors.
Daniel finds Nicole and thanks her for her help. Daniel gets up to leave and Nicole stops him. She is emotional when she tells him she knows that he is in love with Jennifer. She wishes them both well and abruptly departs. Daniel let out a long breath after Nicole leaves.
Daniel enters Jennifer's room. He is beholding to her for his Christmas Miracle. She has given him his life back. He leans over and tenderly kisses her on the cheek. Jennifer tells him.. she just returned the favor.
