Daniel tells Jennifer she doesn't have to resign from the hospital, because he is resigning. Jennifer pushes to find out where Daniel is going and if Nicole is involved. Daniel shuts her down and refuses to discuss Nicole with her. He meets with Nicole and reveals his decision to go with her to Utah. Nicole also learns from Daniel that hospital records were lost today during the power failure. In an effort to hold on to Daniel, Nicole plans to keep the news of her baby's death a secret until after they move to Utah. .
When Daniel returns to the hospital, he learns from Billie that Jennifer has been talking to her about him and Nicole. Daniel is upset and annoyed. He specifically told Jennifer to butt out of his life and now she is venting to Billie about his decisions.
