Daniel storms into Jennifer's office and rips the telephone receiver from her hand and slams it down. He begins a tirade of why she should not be involving herself in this mess. Emotions run high and heated words fly from both Jennifer and Daniel. Daniel is abrupt and cruel with his words, attacking Jennifer. He is deliberate in his attempt to push her away. Jennifer is quick to respond and ends up storming out of the office, tersely making it a point to tell Daniel that Jack was the right choice for her.
Daniel goes home. Maggie arrives and they commiserate about Melanie's departure from Salem. They both miss her terribly. Maggie senses Daniel is struggling with his situation with Nicole. Daniel admits that because of it, he has been forced with pushing Jennifer away to deal with it. Maggie thinks the only reason he is struggling is because he still has feelings for Jennifer.
