Daniel goes to Chad's apartment. Daniel calls Chad out for beating up Nick. He could have killed an innocent man. Daniel believes Chad is not thinking right. He warns Chad to give his daughter some space. He does not want Melanie at risk. Chad tries to defend his actions, but Daniel advises "unbalanced" Chad to seek professional help. Chad says he can't just walk away. Daniel tells Chad he will take care of Melanie. Before Daniel departs, Chad gives Daniel Melanie's phone. Daniel finds out Chad has left three messages for her. Daniel curtly tells him "That's Enough". Daniel warns Chad, If Chad won't give Melanie some time to think clearly, he will have to deal with him.
Daniel returns to his apartment and fills Melanie in on his chat with Chad. Daniel gives Melanie back her phone that Chad sent with him. She looks at it apprehensively and Daniel tells her that there are messages from Chad on it. Melanie tells Daniel that she wants to be alone. Daniel understands and heads for the gym. But, before he leaves Melanie hugs her Dad. He warmly hugs his daughter and assuredly tells her "whatever you need baby"
