Daniel stops by to see Melanie, and is surprised when Chad says she has already returned to work. Chad voices his concerns to Daniel about how fragile Melanie is right now. She has been having nightmares, not about her captor, Andrew, but about someone named Nick. He also adds that Melanie is reluctant to discuss any of it.
Later, at the Brady Pub, Daniel and Rafe assure Nicole that her baby secret is safe with them. They are not proud of this deception, but both realize it is to protect Nicole and her baby. Rafe leaves. Nicole tells Daniel that she wants to be more than friends. Her intentions take Daniel aback. He looks away from her and down at their hands entwined together.
