Daniel shows up in Nicole's daydream, as she fantasizes about her future with Daniel. Daniel has been re-evaluating his relationship with Nicole. He confesses to Maggie that he has been using Nicole because he has been lonely. Maggie thinks he is being too hard on himself. Daniel wants Melanie to have a father she can be proud of. That is what he will focus his priorities on. When he goes to visit Nicole, her OB doctor informs her that she should refrain from sex for the rest of her pregnancy. Daniel thinks it is a good thing and tries to let Nicole down easy . It is better if they just remain friends. Nicole does not want to hear that and tells Daniel he must listen to what she has to say.
