At the hospital, Daniel meets with Paul. He does not give him good news. Paul's shoulder injury is going to prevent him from playing baseball professionally. Paul is devastated over the news.
Later, Daniel meets with Rafe. He learns Rafe has just been fired. He learns that someone sent a letter to the police department detailing Rafe's cover up. Daniel assures him that it did not come from him or Melanie. Rafe knows that. Rafe realizes that actions have consequences. He will have to live with what he has done.
