Daniel runs into Nicole outside a shop. He shows her the blue ball that he bought. Nicole thinks Parker will like it. Daniel tells her it isn't for Parker, it is for her. He tells her to check her phone. Daniel has challenged her to a rematch, this time at dodge ball. Nicole wonders about Daniel's attitude. Daniel tells Nicole that he doesn't have a lot of friends as of late, and he would hate to lose one of his best friends. Nicole smiles and accepts the challenge.
Before going to the park with Nicole, Daniel stops by to see Maggie. He tells her he needs to see Jennifer again to clear the air. He doesn't want her to feel uncomfortable. Daniel tells Maggie that both he and Jennifer need her in their lives. Maggie is touched by the comment and hugs Daniel.
Later at the park, Daniel gives Nicole the rules of dodge ball. Daniel goes first and tags Nicole out numerous times. Frustrated Nicole calls Daniel a ball hog. Daniel says he wil take his ball and go home. Nicole says no he won't and jumps on his back. They laugh as Daniel spins Nicole around, but he tumbles to the ground with her on his back. Nicole is laughing until he doesn't respond. She rolls him over and Daniel playing possum tags her with the ball. They tussle until Daniel pins her to the ground. Daniel stops, looks at Nicole and sexual tension arises between them.
