Nicole arrives at Daniel's apartment. She is annoyed that he gives her the cold shoulder and then texts her that he is sorry. Daniel invites her in and explains. He was referring to what happened to EJ. Nicole is unaware that EJ was killed. Nicole is upset. Daniel hugs her and offers to have her stay to talk. Nicole recants he history with EJ to Daniel. She tells him that she recently spoke with EJ and they were both amicable to each other. Nicole leaves to get out of Daniel's hair. Daniel asks Nicole to meet him at the Brady pub for coffee as she needs to talk. Nicole likes that idea.
At the Brady pub, Daniel spots Eric. He says he is meeting with Nicole. Eric asks Daniel if he is friends with Nicole again. Daniel asks if he is would it bother him. Eric is more concerned about Daniel's chummy relationship with Kristen.
