Eric overhears Daniel talking with Kristen on the phone. Daniel does not give her any information about John and hangs up. Eric is annoyed that Daniel has anything to do with Kristen. Daniel flashes back to Kristen's words about Theresa hitting John with the poker. Marlena enters and tells Daniel and Eric that John has woken up. Daniel goes to check on John. When Daniel is with John, John starts asking questions.
When Daniel comes out of the exam room, he makes Theresa uncomfortable. She storms into his office and threatens him to stop accusing her of hurting John . Daniel orders her out. She steadfastly remains to have her say. Daniel sarcastically ignores her threats. Theresa fumes, spews more threats to Daniel and abruptly storms out of his office.
At Daniel's apartment, Kristen shows up uninvited. Daniel is already annoyed with what happened with Theresa. He is in no mood to see Kristen. Kristen is adamant that Theresa can't get away with hurting John. Daniel looks at her and says no she can't.
