At the hospital, Daniel administers the trial drug on John. Marlena and Brady think they see an improvement, but Daniel tells them it will take at least 24 hours for the drug to be effective. He wants Brady to go with him so they can talk. Daniel goes over John's chart with Maxine. She will update him every hour.
At Daniel's apartment, Daniel tells Brady of Kristen's motives for helping John. Brady is furious that she would force Eric not to testify against her in exchange for the drug. Brady leaves to see Eric.
Maggie has just witnessed a fight between Theresa and Kristen. She calls Daniel to ask if John has been given an experimental drug. Daniel cannot answer because of patient privilege. Maggie understands and tells Daniel she loves him and is proud of him. When he hangs up with Maggie, Kristen starts banging on his door. Daniel opens the door and Kristen barges in. She is upset because Daniel told Brady everything. Daniel wants her to leave, but Kristen starts rattling on about Theresa sleeping with Brady. Daniel doesn't comment and Kristen realizes it is true. She then also realizes that Theresa's agitated attitude about John coming out of his coma was based on something else. Kristen now thinks Theresa hit John and not Brady.
