Daniel is talking to Parker when Marlena overhears. She thanks him for stepping up and going to the Bishop on Eric's behalf. She also tells Daniel that not everyone is so anxious to help Eric. She is looking at Nicole. Daniel is annoyed to learn that Nicole refused to see the Bishop to help Eric. When Marlena leaves, Daniel approaches Nicole. She is condescending and tells Daniel he has no right to judge her. Daniel calls her a selfish bitch. Nicole becomes defensive and storms off to powder her nose. When she returns she finds Daniel talking with Hope. She learns that Daniel and Jennifer are now broken up. Hope goes on her way and Nicole approaches Daniel. She tells him she overheard what Hope said. She is sorry if she caused their breakup. Daniel is annoyed. He briskly brushes past her simply saying he has to see the Bishop.
At the Bishop's office Daniel gives his account of what happened. Even though it was not first hand information, the Bishop is thankful Daniel came forward on Eric's behalf. As Daniel is leaving, he opens the door to see Nicole waiting to see the Bishop.
