At Daniel's office, he meets with his new patient Eve. She is having an issue with nodes in her throat that is impeding her singing career. Daniel updates her. Once the test results are back, he can review them and schedule surgery as soon as possible. Daniel does pose a problem. How will Eve pay for the expensive surgery. Eve tells him not to worry. He should schedule the tests and she will have the funding figured out.
Eve sees pictures of Melanie and Parker. She is happy to learn that Daniel is single.
Eric stops by Daniel's office. He thanks Daniel for helping him to clear his name with the Bishop. He is unsure if Nicole will do the same. Daniel tells Eric about his break up with Jennifer over the situation with Nicole. Eric understands that sometimes love isn't enough.
