Daniel and Jennifer quarrel over Nicole. Jennifer believes Daniel would not have told Eric about what Nicole was hiding from Eric. Jennifer tells Daniel it is a pattern with him to lie to protect Nicole. Daniel takes offense to her comments. He says he is not immoral. He would not let his friend not know what Nicole was hiding. He was going to tell Eric, until Jennifer told him first. Jennifer knows that Daniel is not in love with Nicole, but she believes that Nicole would have gotten Daniel to lie for her again. Daniel is hurt by her accusations. It puts an uncomfortable riff in their relationship. Daniel tells Jennifer he thought she knew him, but now he realizes he doesn't know her at all. Daniel doesn't say another word. He walks out of the Horton house and away from Jennifer.
