Daniel stops Eric in the town square. He thinks they should talk. Eric agrees. Daniel asks Eric if Nicole told him everything. Eric says yes. Daniel senses that Eric is more upset with him than Nicole. Daniel doesn't realize that Nicole only told Eric that he is in love with her and not about the missing documents that could clear Eric's name.
Roman interrupts Daniel and Eric. Eric tells Daniel he promised Nicole he would not discuss this with anyone until he figures out how he feels. Daniel understands.
Daniel meets with Nicole at the Brady Pub. Nicole realizes that Daniel does not know she did not tell Eric the truth. She scolds Daniel for badgering Eric and betraying her. Eric's feelings are very fragile right now. Until Eric can make a decision about his future, Daniel needs to respect Eric and her space. It is a private matter. He also needs to keep this quiet from Jennifer. Nicole makes a desperate decision. She decides to close the door on her friendship with Daniel. When she leaves she says a final goodbye to Daniel. Daniel is confused and hurt.
At the hospital, Daniel thinks about Nicole's goodbye. He is saddened by this turn of events with his good friends Nicole and Eric.
