Daniel learns that his blood test revealed a pain killer. Anne jumps on the results and can't wait to harass Jennifer and Daniel about the bad press this will bring on the hospital. Anne points out Daniel's violation of hospital policy. Using prescription drugs and operating on a patient while impaired. Kayla arrives and takes over the disciplinary action. Kayla has no choice but to suspend Daniel until a full investigation can be initiated.
Daniel is moved to a hospital bed and more blood work is taken. An investigative team has been dispatched to search his apartment. Daniel asks Jennifer to be there. She goes and takes Eric with her to oversee the investigative team. Eric texts Nicole that Daniel is sick. Nicole heads to the hospital.
Maxine is with Abe at the square. She laments how Daniel helped her put her life together. She hopes he will be ok and get through this ordeal.
Nicole arrives at the hospital and sits by Daniels side. He awakes and explains to Nicole that somebody drugged him. Nicole's mind wanders back to seeing Liam outside Daniel's apartment.
