Days of our Lives

Daniel is at his apartment. He starts his early day with a protein drink, mixed with orange juice. He is unaware that Liam placed a drug in the orange juice. Daniel arrives at the hospital and he is ready for surgery. He starts to yawn and his demeanor is sluggish. Liam is in the shadows, watching Daniel's mobility deteriorate and he smiles.
Daniel enters surgery. He becomes woozy and his motions are sluggish. He gets to the point where he has to leave surgery. He relinquishes the operation to his assisting colleague and walks out of surgery.
Maxine is with Daniel. She draws blood and will put a rush on it to find out what is wrong. Jennifer arrives. Daniel tells her he felt fine until he got into surgery. He notices his hands start to tremble and worries that his previous condition has returned. Jennifer realizes Daniel's fears and tells him she will stick by him. Daniel remembers her being by his side through that whole period when he thought he would never be able to be a surgeon again. They tell each other how much they love one another. Daniel's hand tremors subside. Jennifer clasps her hands on Daniel's hand. Daniel gets the results of his blood work. They found a prescription pain killer in his system. Daniel stares.
Liam goes back to Daniel's apartment and changes out the orange juice he tampered with. When he leaves the elevator door opens and he finds Nicole. She wonders why he is here.
