Daniel and Parker arrive at the Horton house. Parker rushes in to find Abigail and JJ who are babysitting him for the party. Daniel receives a call from Hope. She is cancelling on going to the party tonight. Daniel asks her to reconsider as Aiden has cancelled too. Hope does reconsider after hearing Aiden won't be there and agrees to go to the party. Abigail sees Daniel to the door. The conversation reveals that Jennifer had been targeted on the hospital website with inappropriate comments. Daniel was surprised to hear that.
Later, back at Daniel's apartment, Jennifer is getting the table ready for the party. Daniel confronts her. He is disappointed she did not tell him about the hostile comments on the hospital web site. She appreciates his concern, but asks Daniel to let her solve her own problems and stop protecting her from living life. Daniel agrees, but only because she asked him to and he loves her. They kiss.
Guests start to arrive for the party. Hope helps answer the door and the room turns cold when Aiden arrives. Daniel and Jennifer try to break the tension between them, but it doesn't seem to be working. Daniel sneaks into the hallway and calls Eric and Nicole to get to the party as soon as possible in an effort to get the party rolling.
Nicole arrives and things at the party get worse when Nicole starts zinging sarcastic remarks obviously directed at Eric. Nicole introduces herself to Aiden. She tells him he could use a drink too. Hope says he doesn't approve. Nicole says to what? Hope makes a sarcastic remark about anything. Aiden looks uncomfortable. Daniel and Jennifer look discouraged.
Nicole and Eric continue to spat. Hope and Aiden are keeping their distance. The pizza arrives and Jennifer opens the door. She is surprised to see Rory delivering the pizza. Rory tells her he is surprised to see her. He kiddingly tells her not to worry... there is no pot in the pizza.
Daniel pays for the pizza and Aiden and Hope both think they should leave. Maxine puts the brakes on that and tells them to stay. Nicole goes to talk with Daniel and spills her wine on him. Eric tells her to stop drinking. Nicole mouths off about telling everyone about their fight. Daniel asks Jennifer if things could get any worse.
