Daniel is with Jenifer planning their dinner celebration. Daniel would like to invite Eric and Nicole. Jennifer is ok with that. She tells Daniel that she learned of his lie with Nicole. Pretending to be with Nicole to help Eric. Daniel hopes she understands. Jennifer does, but asks if it was Nicole's idea. Daniel says yes. Jennifer comments that Nicole always seems to need to lie to get what she wants.
Later, Daniel runs into Eric. He learns of the blowup he had with Marlena about Nicole. Eric will work it out. Daniel goes to find Nicole. At her hotel room, Daniel can see she is upset. He reminds her to forget what people think. It is only what Eric believes in you that matters. Nicole agrees. She excuses herself to get ready for work. Daniel will let him self out. He forgot to ask her if she wanted to come to dinner. He will leave her a note instead. When he opens the desk drawer for paper, he finds Dr. Chyka's envelope.
