At Daniel's apartment, Daniel is preparing for his date with Jennifer. Nicole is getting ready to leave to give Daniel the place to himself tonight. Daniel senses Nicole is uneasy about her relationship with Eric. Daniel knows that Marlena is giving Nicole a hard time. He offers to set Marlena straight. Nicole doesn't want him to create a situation. Daniel reassures Nicole that what she did for Eric was selfless. Marlena should be thank her for putting her life on the line to help her son. Daniel tells Nicole that she is amazing and a good friend. Nicole leaves, but mumbles to herself that she is not a very good friend at all.
Daniel is chilling the wine when Jennifer arrives. He takes a deep breath and opens the door. Jennifer smiles at him and takes his hand.
